The Dorchester Community Food Co-op and Sustainability Guild International will showcase an exciting series of Friday night events August through September. There will be live entertainment, savory food and beverages, activities for children. Help celebrate the essence of Dorchester through diverse voices, talents and flavors!

First in a series on the 100 for 100 Project

The Sustainability Guild International vision is built upon collaboration. The Guild seeks to complement the dynamic initiatives already underway and in development within and beyond the Dorchester community. To live sustainably, members of inner city communities should be able to work, learn, eat, and play in their own neighborhoods. The rejuvenation of underutilized lots encourages community-based stewardship of public space and invites private investment. Together, these developments result in meaningful labor, access to healthy food, expanded green space, well-occupied storefronts

100 for 100 Project: Starting July 2012 through September, 100 inner city residents are creating 100 instances of urban sustainability innovation in the neighborhoods of Bowdoin/Geneva and the Blue Hill Avenue corridor, through upcycling, clean energy, community greening & beautification, and food access via a Community Supported Café model.
